Young Scientist Exhibition

Many congratulations to Amanda Sheerin, a TY student, who has been accepted, out of 1616 applicants, to be one of the 500 projects on display at the Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS from 7th-11th of January. Amanda's project is entitled "A memory foam mattress to reduce complications in casualities immobilised on spinal boards". She has put alot of hard work into this project and we wish her the best of luck.

Women in Science & Engineering

Four 5th year students have been nominated for the 'Women In Science and Engineering Programme' being run by University College Cork. This is an opportunity for the students to attend lectures in a University and to develop a clearer understanding of the course areas of science and engineering. Students will attend lectures from 9:30-4:00 pm which will include Mathematical Science, Process & Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical, Electronic, Civil, Environmental & Energy Engineering.
