Equestrian

The equestrian team consists of four people. The main events which the team take part in, are show- jumping competitions which are held around the country. So far this year the team attended four shows. In the first show in Killassery Stud the team came joint 2nd with only three members on the team. The team then returned to Killassery once again and competed well against 30 other teams which were all of a high standard. From there the team travelled up to Mullingar to the snow covered equestrian centre. There were 32 teams entered into the competition. Our team came joint 5th and proceeded into the jump off to compete for the prizes, however due to a sudden injury we were forced to retire. The team finished their show jumping season in Broadmeadows where again all members competed admirably. The team are now looking forward to competing in one day events and cross-country. The members of the team include: Megan Carberry, Amy Moylan, Aoidhnait McAdam and equestrian prefect Niamh Brannigan. Also during the year Declan Brannigan Golf Services sponsored the team with brand new numnas and team jackets which we are extremely grateful for.
