SPECIAL RECOGNITION FOR PAST PUPIL
LEIGH BAGNALL
- First person with double lung transplant in Ireland.
- She had an Ex-Vivo Lung Perfusion Transplantation. It reconditions the donor lungs outside the body before surgery.
- Suffered with Cystic Fibrosis through school although remained dedicated to her studies.
- Her double lung transplant was a complete success and her health is going from strength to strength.
- Completed a 10km run after transplant to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
- She has shown great courage, strength of character and determination.
