On Thursday, 23rd January, our talented TY students showcased their culinary skills in the Boyne Valley Cookery Competition, preparing an exceptional dish. It was an unforgettable day at the TY Young Cooks Competition in Boyne Valley!
A huge thank you to the Centre of Food Culture, Boyne Valley for organising such a fantastic event at the wonderful Lismullin Cookery School. We are incredibly proud of our Sacred Heart TY students, Amélie Kelly and Beth Reilly, who represented Sacred Heart Secondary School with outstanding skill and creativity. They truly cooked up a storm, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients from Boyne Valley Flavours and nearby farms. A special thank you to Vincent from Hillard’s Farm for his continued support of our students.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to Pauric White from Created in Cavan for inspiring and encouraging all the participants, as well as to our esteemed judges—Tara Walker, Emma Gill, and David O’Brien—for their expertise and guidance. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Trainor for her dedication and support in preparing the students for this competition.
